Maybe its just me, but it seems that at the very least the City Of Hardy Arkanas’ website should, at a  minimum, have a working CONTACT page. I have notified the city..numerous times in the past about this problem on their website and was told it would be fixed.

Today..I once again attempted to request information directly from the City Of Hardy’s website at the www.oldhardytown.net location I still get a submission form error that reads.

Not Found

The requested document was not found on this server.

The sad fact about this is I wanted to simply ask the city about EVENTS for this 4th of July weekend. I have family planning on visting and staying for a few days. According to the official Hardy website…NOTHING IS PLANNED FOR THE 4th OF JULY weekend. I personally could not believe this and thus attempted to contact the city online.

If  TOURIST are not able to get the very basic information about our wonderful town. How then can the business that rely on them survive with such simple problems still happening. Additionally,  even if the site contact option worked..you are unable to even ask a direct simple question.

So with that said… I once again ask you, Mayor Nina Thornton..please FIX the problem. Oh, and if you could, please let us know if something official is planned for the City of Hardy this July 4th weekend. Hopefully, I just overlooked it, however I did double check  even the events over on the Kait8 websites Hardy weather cam page too. Nope nothing listed for the 4th in Hardy there either!

UPDATE: 10:24 PM 6-30-2010 The City Of Hardy websites submission form no longer has the (SUBMIT) button, so you will not get the error, you just need to print it out and mail it in for now !!

Its now March 19th and the weather is delightful in Hardy Arkansas. We know that Spring is in the air as the flowers are beginning to pop, the trees are budding and Chico and Don Qualls are back on Main Street. Don and Chico have been a Hardy Main Street attraction for a number of years to the delight of locals, visitors and guests. Don and Chico will take you on a scenic ride around town and through Loeberg Park. There is no charge for the rides, instead one may make a donation to help offset Don’s personal expenses. Qualls says that he enjoys giving a ride to someone who remembers horse and buggy days or giving a ride to someone who has a disability just to see their face light up.

Qualls and Chico have visited nursing homes and brought joy to the elder generation, many of whom remember working and riding horses as a way of life. Chico and Don “The Man” have gotten quite a reputation and people have come to Hardy from all over the country to ride, having heard from others that riding with Chico and Don is a  ’must do’ event in Hardy.

The duo are also available for weddings, birthdays and church events.

If you’re around the Hardy area, stop by and visit with Don Qualls and Chico. They would love to give you a buggy ride that you’ll always remember.

So…here is what this particular area is all about. Here we can share our stories of Hardy and the lives we have had and continue to have. We can tell our tales of how, why and what brought us here and the love for Hardy that we all share.

I’ve had the priviledge of falling in love, running a great business and meeting great friends, watching seasons pass, leaves fall and meeting all the wonderful people who live and travel to and through Hardy. What a wonderful place to experience life. I love Hardy and I’m glad that I’m here.
