Pre-Screening of “Spring River Scene” set at FNBC

spring river sceneA locally produced and recorded television show highlighting Spring River and the surrounding area will begin airing in three major markets beginning June 8.

Spring River Scene and show sponsor, FNBC, will host the first viewing of this innovative show on Thursday, June 6, at 10:00 a.m .at the FNBC Ash Flat main branch. Created by longtime entertainment professional Doug Deforest, Spring River Scene is a light-hearted information-filled 30-minute look at the entertainment, people, businesses and places that make up the vibrant landscape of the Spring River area. With co-host and newcomer Jamie Allyn, this talk show format program was filmed inside the showroom of Forschler Home Center in Ash Flat, in front of a live studio audience. It will be aired in three major markets beginning June 8 and 9: Little Rock station KASN at 6 a.m. Saturdays, Memphis, Tenn., station WPTY at 2:30 a.m. Sundays, and Springfield station KOZL at 6:30 a.m. Sundays.

Each show begins with a light “get acquainted” time between the hosts, followed by a performance and interview with a musical guest. Next is an interview with a community guest about an event or place in the Spring River area. The following segment features the “Two Minute Chef with Ian Driesel,” including great summer time recipes and cooking tips. The show wraps up with the “Community Calendar” by Associate Producer Hazelle Fessenden, highlighting upcoming events in the Spring River Area.

Executive Producer Matt Forschler is proud to have Spring River Scene recorded on location at Forschler Home Center in Ash Flat. Forschler believes this show is a great way to showcase the wonderful Spring River area and will encourage others from other regions to visit or move into the area. “From the moment I was first introduced to the project,” Forschler stated, “I believed in the idea and could see what positive impact this will have in our community and businesses.” Forschler continued, “This became evident when one of our major suppliers jumped on board as our first corporate sponsor. It’s something to be said when a national company like Serta is willing to back an idea that hasn’t even been produced yet.”

Additional advertising opportunities remain on each show, allowing local businesses to showcase themselves to visitors even before they get to the area. This along with all the fun and entertainment packaged into the show captures for viewers and visitors what makes the Spring River area a great destination. From great people, businesses, activities, to great ideas, Spring River Scene is the weekly window into this colorful area.
