Gateway CASA volunteers are trained, caring adults who place themselves at the center of a child’s life and serve in their best interest. A CASA volunteer is a court appointed special advocate, sworn in as an officer of the court. These volunteers serve as a guiding force in a foster child’s life.
The Hardy Timely Club constantly strives to assist with growing community needs. Realizing that CASA advocates play such an important role in the lives of foster children, the club pursued the idea of providing each advocate with a duffle bag and a library of interactive games, books, and toys in their quest to build lasting relationships with their assigned foster children. This project was made possible in part by a grant from the Sharp County Community Foundation, an affiliate of Arkansas Community Foundation.
