Disc Golf course at Loberg Park

Being a recovering frisbee addict, I’d love to be able to indulge my passion once again. I have been pondering the idea of a sanctioned disc golf course in Loberg Park. There is a group that is focused on the promotion and creation of disc golf courses in the US and around the globe. With over 2700 sanctioned disc golf courses around the globe, this is no fad and could provide opportunities of increased family values and interaction and community growth through fun filled recreation, as well as visitor recreation while vacationing and visiting Hardy and our area.

Here is the website for the disc golf group www.pdga.com. I’d be interested to hear from anyone who might like to help manifest this vision into reality.

Please feel free to contact me directly at my store.

This site has some quick cost price info on setting up a 9 or 18 hole course.

The price ranges from $3,000 up to the $12,000 range depending on how fancy it could be.

Great idea. It would add to the park’s family fun theme and could help in bring in tourist for tournaments.

We are planning a 4 day summer family vacation in Hardy in July and as avid disc golfers we would love to play while there. We always try to incorporate disc golf into any trip we make in the U.S. Since the closest course is in Walnut Ridge we will probably drive there for the day and play all day and drive back to Hardy.
If you build it they will come!

Every once in a while, this story pops back up. Our mayor is not in favor of doing such a project. She is not active in economic growth nor tourism.

Just one of the “good ole girls” with no vision. Sad for the people of Hardy. Such a project would be very inexpensive and could bring forth big benefits for all.
