Lake Sherwood Dam Repaired In Woodland Hills Subdivision
A lot of folks may not even be aware that our wonderful city of Hardy, Arkansas offers two beautiful private lakes located in the private Woodland Hills subdivision. The two lakes are called Rainbow Lake and Lake Sherwood. The second one being around 100 acres!

This was the first council meeting of the new year with the newest coucil lineup which includes the newest councilwoman…Sherry Groves. We say goodbye to Bobby Guilliland who has served Hardy as councilman for many years…and thank you Councilman Guilliland, for your service to our community.
Area Authorities Looking For A/C Suspect
Sharp County Sheriff’s Department as well as the Hardy Police Department are looking for information which could help identify the suspect in these photos. Numerous thefts of air conditioner units have been reported in the Hardy area. The suspects truck, a Ford F-150 can be seen in the background. It is believed that the suspect is scrapping out the metals and compressors in these units and may be traveling outside the area to avoid detection. Anyone with information is urged to contact either the Hardy Police Department or the Sheriff’s Department.

We have all heard the expression Made In America and to buy American made products, but sometimes its nice to see that idea narrowed down even closer to home. So close, as a matter of fact that it is taking place right here in our very own City of Hardy, Arkansas right on Main Street.
We have some great local products being produced locally and being sold locally and nationally too, by our area merchants. This story is about just one of those products. It is called the “My Imagination Desk” and is hand crafted from scratch right here locally.
City Council Meeting Tonight 7:PM Dec. 7, 2010
MEETING CANCELED DUE TO NO QUORUM
(For those who showed up, we were not informed that it was cancelled but because a few of the Alderman did not show up they had no choice.)
Please make time in your calendar to try to attend the City Council meeting scheduled for this evening at 7:00 pm at City Hall. The 2011 budget is being discussed and if approved, as it was shown on the prior proposal, our cities important Main Street Of Hardy, Inc. historic program will have its budget cut again down to only $4,000.
City Hall Please Support The Main Street Program
Times are hard on business and especially on budgets, but sometimes certain cost must be a priority for a city, especially for a city that much of it’s history is based on it’s tourism. In a memorandum put out on Monday Nov 29, just one day prior to the city budget meeting it was announced that the Main Street Of Hardy, Inc., the official Main Street organization that is part of the Main Street Arkansas program, is going to have it’s budget cut even more.
Keeping Our City Safe!
It doesn’t happen often but sometimes even in small cities problems do come up. We are happy to know that our Sharp County Sheriff’s department is on the job making sure our city remains a safe city to its citizens. 
On 11/22/2010, the Sharp County Sheriff’s Department and the 3rd Judicial District Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at the home of Terry Painter in Hardy. During a search of the premises, Officers found 7 reaction vessels used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine as well as other items of drug paraphernalia. Terry Painter a 53 year old man was arrested for manufacturing of a controlled substance, methamphetamine and possession of drug parphernalia after confessing to cooking methamphetamine 4 times at his residence in the past month. Mr. Painter is currently incarcerated in the Sharp County Jail awaiting filing of formal charges.
City Council Videographer Fails To Deliver
Our wonderful city has the added benefit during the City Council meetings to have a area business individual in charge of making a video recording of the meetings. We had believed this is a paid service on behalf of the City thus the citizens themselves, but undersand that is not the case. They do however replay the meetings on the local cable station 20 for the local viewing audience to have a chance to see.

With all the excitement in the air with the elections, the results are finally in. Below are the results for the local area positions. We hope now that the elections are over, Hardy and the citizens can finally focus back on making our city the best little city around. The Illusion Is Still A Lie – Mayor
It is a sad day when we find our Mayor of Hardy (Nina Thornton) having to create more LIES in order to cover her actions and create the illusion that she is somehow a victim when she in FACT is the one guilty of the lie she created. Once you follow the simple timeline of events one with any sense can tell she had to quickly create a cover for her poor comments and actions. This quote below was taken from her website on Oct. 20,2010 where she is allegedly speaking about one of the co-founders of this website and also this website.
