Follow Hardy Arkansas On It’s New Twitter Feed
We now have included on our sites homepage a twitter feed for Hardy Arkansas. You can view its updated tweets right on our sites front page! What is a TWEET or TWITTER you say. A tweet is a post or status update on Twitter, a micro-blogging service. Because Twitter only allows messages of 140 characters or less, “tweet” is as much a play on the size of the message as it is on the audible similarity to Twitter.
Twitter is an online service that enables you to broadcast short messages to your friends or “followers.” It also lets you specify which Twitter users you want to follow so you can read their messages in one place too.

What Would You Like to Ask The Mayoral Candidates?
Hardy now has just two candidates for mayor. Friends Of Hardy Arkansas is preparing a questionnaire for both of them. We want to ask them specific, pointed questions about what they would do as mayor to address the needs of Hardy. Some areas we will be asking about are in regards to public safety, public works, transparency and accountability in government, as well as their vision of the City of Hardy’s future and growth.
Johnson Street Open For Travelers
In favor or against it, the temporary closure of Johnson St for a trial year as a entertainment area along Main St has come to a dead end. Maybe it was poor timing, bad temperatures or poor planning of events. Either way, the trial closure and option to make it permanent will not happen.

New Parking Signage – Almost Ready
The City Council of Hardy Arkansas announced in their regular city council meeting that the installation of the new poles for the soon to be made signs have been placed to help those driving into our city realize that additional parking is available toward the railroad tracks side of Main Street.
It was discussed that as soon as funding through A & P is available they would be looking into purchasing the actual signs to be place on the newly installed poles.
We hope this will help those looking for parking when the Main Street is full, will turn to park instead of driving through our city without stopping.
